SHAH ALAM: Padang Serai Member of Parliament Datuk Azman Nasrudin arrived at the Shah Alam Sessions Court this morning to face corruption charges.
He reached the court complex at about 8am. Dressed in a blue shirt and grey blazer, he was seen speaking with his lawyer, N. Surendran, and several others.
Security at the court was visibly tightened, with MACC officers stationed around the complex. The main entrance was closed to the public, and access was restricted to those with official court matters.
Azman and a businessman are expected to be charged today over alleged corruption involving a feedlot project linked to the Kedah government.
The MP will be charged under Section 28(1)(c) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act for abetment in corruption, while the businessman will face a charge under Section 16(a)(A) of the same Act for soliciting and accepting bribes.
It is understood that the businessman has already arrived through the back entrance.
